Coester Appraisal Group is always looking for professional, experienced appraisers located all across the nation. Only those with an established track record of high performance and excellent integrity are accepted and placed in the rotation. To become an approved appraiser vendor with our company, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • You must hold an active and valid state license or certification and that license/certification must be in good standing
  • You must not be on the current exclusionary list of major lenders as supplied to Coester Appraisal by those lenders.
  • You may not have ever had your appraisers license/certification revoked for reasons relating to a breach of professional ethics or criminal misconduct.
  • You must provide Coester Appraisal Group with all necessary and current contact and tax information for you and your company.
  • You must be able to provide Coester Appraisal Group with a list of certifications and designations from nationally recognized granting organizations (i.e. The Appraisal Institute, HUD, FHA and others).
  • You must have a valid email address, web account and be able to produce and transmit appraisals with digital photos and signatures in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.

Work Volume

Volume will vary based on different factors, including geographic location and client business locale. The best way to increase your chances of receiving appraisal work is to make sure that all of your profile information is current and answer all phone calls/voicemails in a prompt manner; you never know when we may be calling you with an available request.

Appraisal Fee

The fees that you earn as vendors are fair and respectful of the appraisers’ time and professionalism. The CEO of the company, Brian Coester, is a licensed appraiser and is fully aware of the time and effort it takes to complete an appraisal report, so rest assured that the fee you receive will be a reasonable and customary rate. Here at Coester Appraisal, we do NOT broadcast or “ email blast” requests and distribute them to the appraiser with the lowest fee; this would be doing a disservice to our clients and treating our experienced appraisers unfairly. Our goal is to receive a quality appraisal in a timely manner at a reasonable cost; however, we do understand that cost and product are directly related and we work hard to pay our vendors as much as possible. The specific fee for the appraisal request will be established upon our first contact with you, via telephone, prior to sending the valuation request via email.


Vendor payments are made on a Net 30-45 day basis from the date of completion. The clock starts once the report is received, reviewed, marked completed and accepted by the client. We are currently in the process of creating a direct deposit system for vendors enabling us to offer same day payment.

Service Level Expectations

As an approved appraiser vendor with Coester Appraisal Group, you agree to perform as a real estate appraisal professional to the best of your ability at all times. This includes being truthful and communicating with us every two to three days, completing valuations with a realistic,  yet fact based approach and maintaining a professional and understanding attitude towards clients, borrowers and Coester Appraisal Group staff. If for any reason you prove to us that you cannot maintain these standards, you will immediately be placed on our internal database’s Do Not Use list which will deem you ineligible for any future orders with any of our clients.

36 Hour Rule

Here at Coester, we pride ourselves on our consistent communication with our clients and vendors, therefore, communications is a must and we expect all of our vendors to be responsive. If a response regarding any inquiries made are not answered within 36 hours of being sent (weekends are included), the order may be reassigned without compensation to the vendor. This applies even after the inspection has been completed and revisions have been made. We understand of extenuating circumstances that may cause a delay in the process; however, if we are not notified, this prevents our staff from being able to notify our client, therefore deeming our company unprofessional. We are always an e-mail or phone call away, so once again, if we are not contacted, the order will be reassigned, compensation will not be made and you will be placed on the Do Not Use list.
