In May of 2010, client came to Coester because of issues with current repurchase appeal process. There were only appeal 2 of 10 files with current process and looking for a better way. After several very long calls, e-mails and meeting Coester designed a solution to increase their appeal process. With firsthand knowledge of appraisal review, appraisal repurchases and credit risk Coester designed a solution that would increase their appeal process from 2 of 10 to 7 of 10 which is a 250% increase from the previous solution.

To date, Coester Appraisal Group has completed over 2,000 repurchase rebuttals with a 67% appeal rate. In February of 2009, American Advisors placed its first order with Coester Appraisal Group and was put on a trial basis of 5 appraisals for the month. After introducing the newly acquired client to our Value Safe desktop appraisal program and its benefits, the orders increased and business has been headed in an uphill direction ever since.

THE SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY
To date, Coester Appraisal Group has completed over 1,000 Value Safe desktop appraisals for AAG with an average turnaround of 2.5 days. This has also allowed them to increase the number of closes per loan officer by providing their clients an alternative to the total expense associated with a full appraisal report as well as a quicker timeline for a decision.
